As a design/build effort, SPARC Design was awarded this project along with Young Office and Holden Building Company to provide significant upgrades to Blue Ridge Community College’s existing cafeteria.  The team presented a complete overhaul of the space by proposing new LED lighting, furniture upgrades, new ceiling tile, a new color palette and improvements to the serving line and food areas.

Customized details set this project apart from the plain room that it used to be. A portion of the outdated wood wall paneling was repurposed with chalkboard paint and now is the kitchen’s daily menu board. A custom designed vinyl wall graphic provides an accent for the north wall. As a nod to dining plates, the graphic is a series of solid and outlined circles.
