Thermo Fisher Scientific solicited SPARC Design to help program and renovate their existing office space at the Western North Carolina facility.  The existing space and cubicles were outdated and in need of repair.  Corporate management expressed the desire for the offices to reflect the mission of Thermo Fisher and serve as inspiration to their staff.  By interviewing the various departments, opportunities for efficiencies were identified through space planning and improved adjacencies.  SPARC presented a comprehensive planning document that outlined the improvement efforts and identified individual phases of this project.

The first phase focuses on upgrades to the second floor offices that houses upper management and research and development departments.  A new layout and workstation system was proposed along with various interior upgrades.  These upgrades serve both to reflect Thermo Fisher’s identity and improve performance of the space.
